--{ WEATHER WARS by Scott Stevens }--
So, the recent hurricanes are controlled by the Yakuza using Russian weather-control technology. Just so you know.
We'd better get back, 'cause it'll be dark soon, and they mostly come at night... mostly.

robin
Our friends Wes and Erin are in China right now to complete their adoption of Robin. Robin will have a new sister in a few months. Our very best wishes to Wes and Erin as they embark on a whole new adventure that will be as gratifying as it is challenging.

NOLA.com: Times-Picayune Breaking News Weblog
Not a good scene in New Orleans. I was there twelve years ago for a weekend; I remember walking around the sweltering downtown area looking for the intersection of Camp and LaFayette streets (where
Lee Harvey Oswald lurked in the Summer of 1963- it no longer exists, apparently, replaced by a plaza of governmental buildings). I remember the humidity and evening showers, the street cars, beignets, blackened catfish, and the Preservation Hall at 11:30 at night. I hope to return some day.

Taschen Books - The Stanley Kubrick Archives
So, I just broke down and purchased this book...the culmination of my appreciation of all things Kubrick.
I have to say that the art books from Taschen are without parallel. I have the series of volumes covering print advertising art from the 1920s to the 1980s, and couldn't be happier with them. Highly recommended.

FOUND Magazine
"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser gate. All those moments will be lost in time like tears in the rain. Time to die."
--Roy Batty, Blade Runner

Naughty Food Items
Examples of dishes you might want to avoid ordering on the first date.
But, after the date is over and you're heading home alone with your crushed dreams, feel free to treat yourself to Happy Crak. Everything goes better with Happy Crak!

Sesame Street: 25 of my favorite memories
I would have to add:
- Harvey Kneeslapper
- The Golden An
- Grover selling Kermit a toothbrush
- The Ladybug Picnic
- The King of 8
- The Alligator King
- Kermit's News Flash stories
- Don Music
- Fat Cat Sat Hat
- Telephone Rock
- The Count sleeping over at Bert & Ernie's apartment...keeping Ernie awake all night with his counting. In the morning, Ernie has these bloodshot, baggy eyes and keeps mumbling numbers in the thousands.
Too bad Noggin stopped showing the classic episodes a couple of years ago. For my daughters, you understand.
